

Jasha Sprecher Partner
Jasha Sprecher is Partner in the Financial Law department of NautaDutilh, which is consistently ranked as tier 1 by Chambers Europe in 2013 - 2018 and by Legal500 in 2016 - 2018. He advises financial institutions and fintechs such as banks, payment service providers, trading platforms and investment funds on financial regulatory law, contract law and securities law. Jasha also advises on current and future implications of Dutch and European law, in relation to both existing businesses and the development of new financial products and services.
Jasha regularly publishes on subjects relating to financial regulatory law, such as MiFID II and AIFMD. He is co-author of two editions of a book outlining the Netherlands Financial Supervision Act (Hoofdlijnen Wft) which is relied upon by industry experts and Dutch universities as an authority in Dutch regulatory law.
In 2021, Jasha was described in the Legal 500 guide as 'absolutely on top of things and leads a great team of professionals with whom it is a pleasure to work. Jasha is distinguished by this academically sound but very hands-on approach to legal matters' in the area of Banking & Finance: financial services regulatory.
From August 2012 through October 2013, Jasha worked at NautaDutilh's New York office where he advised on domestic and international financing transactions.
Jasha received his LLM in Corporate & Commercial Law from the honors program at the University of Amsterdam in 2009. Prior to obtaining his LLM, he participated in an exchange program, focused on US related corporate and tort law, at Columbia University Law School. He received his Bachelor's degree at the University of Amsterdam.
Jasha is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar and is fluent in Dutch and English.
