Michaëla Ulrici is chair of the Financial Sector team of NautaDutilh. In addition, she co-chairs NautaDutilh's Dutch Structured Finance team, including Securitisation, Covered Bonds, mortgage investment structures and portfolio transfers. She was involved in the first ever public securitisation transaction in the Netherlands and has shaped the Dutch market since that time. She has over two decades of experience in all types of asset transactions. Michaëla is (the only Dutch) boardmember of Prime Collateralised Securities (PCS), an organisation which has been set up to reinforce high quality securitisations and market resilience in Europe and a STS-third party verification agent.

Furthermore, she is a board member of JINC, an organisation that helps young people from deprived neighbourhoods to improve their chances on the labour market. She also chaired the board of the University of Amsterdam Fund for eight years up to June 2022.

Michaëla was the Chair of NautaDutilh from June 2010 to July 2014. She graduated from Amsterdam University in 1991. After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Modern Japanese Studies at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, she joined NautaDutilh in 1994. She was also shortly based in the New York offices in 1996 and 1998 and became a partner in 2002.

Michaëla was involved, among others, as drafting counsel of OTD propositions for new entrants and institutional investors to the Dutch market with innovative structures, such as Woonnu, Dynamic Credit, Venn Hypotheken, MUNT, ASR, Iqwoon, Robuust, HollandWoont, Build, Syntrus Achmea, Vrij Leven Hypotheek, Attens, Elan Hypotheken, Vista, Clarian Wonen and the Centraal Beheer Leven Platform.

Michaëla Ulrici has been named 'Best in Europe in structured finance & securitisations' by the prestigious annual Euromoney (IFLR) Legal Media Group Europe Women in Business Law Awards 2019.
