Pieternel Verhoeven - van den Brink is a lawyer who specialises in tax law, advising Dutch and international clients on a number of areas such as corporate restructurings, financing transactions, share/bond issues and mergers and acquisitions.

Pieternel obtained a Master degree in Tax Law from the University of Groningen in 2012. She was admitted to the Amsterdam Bar in 2012. She is also a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB).

Recent work highlights include advising:

• ALD Automotive on the EUR 4.9 billion acquisition of LeasePlan by a consortium led by TDR Capital; 
• ENGIE on the proposed EUR 7.9 billion sale of Equans, the newly-created services unit, and the related highly complex and multifaceted group restructuring.

Pieternel joined NautaDutilh in December 2015 and was named partner in 2020. In 2018 Pieternel was seconded to the NautaDutilh New York office. In addition to her work at NautaDutilh, Pieternel lectures at the University of Amsterdam and the Law Firm School.
