Valérie Verschoor specialises in regulatory and administrative law. As a member of NautaDutilh's financial law department, she advises Dutch and international financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, investment firms and investment institutions on various aspects of financial regulatory law.
She also has expertise in environmental law, procurement law and spatial planning, having previously worked in the firm's litigation & arbitration department. Clients Valérie has assisted in this regard include governmental/quasi-governmental bodies and commercial companies, both Dutch and international. In addition, she works with colleagues firm-wide in matters involving the interface between public and private law.
A graduate of Leiden University (2017), Valérie holds two Master's degrees: one in Civil Law (with honours) and the other in Constitutional and Administrative Law. Her Master's thesis on constitutional amendment procedures was designated as a "top thesis" by the Nederlands Juristenblad journal. During her studies she gained work experience at several law firms, as well as in various positions at Leiden University.
Valérie was admitted to the bar in 2018 and joined NautaDutilh the same year.
