Willianne is a partner in our Corporate M&A department. In the period August 2019 – September 2023, Willianne acted as managing partner of our London office and headed the corporate M&A practice there. She is an all-round transaction lawyer, advising a variety of corporate clients and financial investors on M&A transactions, with a particular focus on cross border transactions in the infrastructure, real estate and private equity sectors.

    Representative experience of Willianne includes advising:

    • Blue Star Alliance on its acquisition of Scotch & Soda.
    • Bain Capital on its acquisition of a majority stake in House of HR.
    • The Carlyle Group on its sale of Hunkemoller to a consortium of Dutch investors, after having advised it also on its acquisition of Hunkemoller.
    • Brookfield on its acquisition of a majority stake in the Schoeller Allibert Group.
    • Silver Lake on its acquisition of a minority stake in Exact and its investments in Getir.
    • ALD and its majority shareholder Societe Generale on its acquisition of Leaseplan.
    • RTL Group on the intended merger of RTL Nederland and Talpa Network.
    • ICON Infrastructure on the sale of its minority stake in Verbrugge Terminals.
    • Ramphastos on its sale of the High Tech Campus Eindhoven to funds managed by Oaktree.
    • Gunvor on its sale of certain of its assets in Rotterdam to Global Energy Storage (GES) and various other M&A projects involving Gunvor's assets in the Netherlands.
    • Neste on various M&A transactions, including its acquisition of Bunge's refinery in Rotterdam.
  • Qualifications

    Willianne obtained her Master's degree in Dutch Civil Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam (cum laude). Willianne completed a post graduate degree in energy law (VU Amsterdam).
