How can we help you?

Corporate Conduct and Compliance are becoming increasingly important in the present time. On Tuesday, 5 November 2019 NautaDutilh will host a seminar combined with the book release of ‘The Grey Zone: A Practical Guide on Corporate Conduct, Compliance and Business Ethics’. The seminar is hosted together with the authors of the book, Michaela Alhberg and Anna Romberg, and Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA).

Speakers
Erik Lagendijk, Chief Governance & Compliance officer at SBM Offshore, will share his insights on how to navigate a multinational through a difficult time and how the company managed to successfully incorporate compliance and business ethics in its organisation, followed by a joint presentation of Bart Schmitz, public prosecutor at the Dutch National Prosecutors’ Office for serious fraud, environmental crime and asset confiscation and Marike Bakker, lawyer and head of the Fraud & White collar crime team of NautaDutilh in Amsterdam. Bart and Marike will discuss how companies can respond to non-compliance within their organisation and talk about a new type of investigation that is emerging in the Netherlands.

Book presentation
The authors Michaela Alhberg and Anna Romberg will present their book ‘The Grey Zone: A Practical Guide on Corporate Conduct, Compliance and Business Ethics'. In the book Michaela and Anna describe what it takes to put the policies, processes and framework of compliance in place. Dilemmas are rarely black or white, different priorities and human factors add to the complexity creating a grey zone of right and wrong. The book shows leaders how to step up and navigate the grey zone to make decisions, defining who they and their companies truly are. Please click here for more information about the authors.
