The Belgian Finance Department recently announced financial support measures for businesses suffering from the COVID-19 outbreak.

Under these measures, businesses can request a payment plan as well as a waiver of late payment interest and fines. The measures are available for payroll tax, VAT, personal income tax, corporate tax and the tax on legal entities. 

In order to qualify for the new measures, a business must be able to demonstrate that it actually suffered from the COVID-19 outbreak (e.g. a drop in turnover, a fall in orders/reservations, disruption of the supply chain, etc.) and file an application by 30 June 2020.
