Jules is a partner in our firm and co-chair of the Corporate M&A practice group. He specialises in corporate law and related notarial law. He advises corporate clients, private equity firms and financial institutions on M&A transactions (strategic, private equity, carve-out) and joint ventures, (cross-border) corporate structuring and other corporate (governance) matters.
“Jules combines extensive corporate and notarial expertise with a clear understanding of the transactions our clients are navigating. From complex carve-outs to cross-border corporate structures, he brings together the different elements needed to help clients move forward. His appointment is a great milestone, both for Jules personally and for our firm. It strengthens our Corporate M&A practice and our ability to offer clients integrated corporate and notarial advice on their most complex transactions. On a personal note, this appointment is especially meaningful to me, as Jules will succeed me in my practice following my retirement at the end of this year. I have every confidence that he will build on this foundation and continue to provide our clients with the expertise and guidance they value”, says Wijnand Bossenbroek, civil law notary and Corporate M&A partner.
Joost den Engelsman, Corporate M&A partner and co-head of the Corporate M&A practice group: "Jules is a true people person and a real team player with a genuine NautaDutilh heart. As co-head of our Corporate M&A practice, as a partner and as a friend, I am proud to see him take this next step. Congratulations, Jules!”
Jules van de Winckel: “Becoming a civil law notary is a huge milestone in my professional career. I am proud to take on this responsibility at NautaDutilh and to contribute to our top-tier notarial practice. Notarial work in the M&A context is so enjoyable because of the combination of legal craftsmanship and deal dynamics, and of course our super skilled and super close corporate notarial team. A special word of thanks to Wijnand Bossenbroek and Paul van der Bijl. I have learned a tremendous amount from them over the past twelve years.”
