

Erik Vermeulen Advisor
Erik Vermeulen specialises in banking law and finance. He has broad experience in syndicated loans, including especially acquisition finance, asset based finance, factoring and real estate finance. In addition to his banking practice, Erik advises in transactions and legal proceedings, where quantitative economic issues and/or mathematical formulas play an important role.
Erik has represented clients in a variety of large transactions, both domestic and cross-border. He has advised, among others, ABN AMRO, Deutsche Bank, GE Commercial Finance, ING, Rabobank, and The Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 1990 Erik graduated in business econometrics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, from which university he also obtained his law degree in 1992, and his doctorate in economics in 1994.
He joined NautaDutilh in 1995 and became a partner in 2003. Erik regularly lectures on financial topics, such as acquisition finance, syndicated loans and the security therefor, and has published both in the field of economics and law. In 2006, he published his book Financiering van Overnames about acquisition finance.
