Bert Fibbe

Bert Fibbe is a criminal defense counsel, specialised in matters of tax- and environmental crime as well as economic crime (e.g. money-laundering, insider dealing). He is also an expert in matters of formal, punitive tax litigation. He has been advising both major international and Dutch companies and Dutch captains of industry. He has active experience on both sides of the bench.
Bert graduated from Amsterdam University in 1975 (highest honours). He started his career (in 1975) in commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions. Bert became a partner of NautaDutilh in 1993. Bert was furthermore vice president of one of the 19 District Courts in the Netherlands. Bert is a member of the Board of the national Bar of the Netherlands.
He is a frequent speaker and teaches at various post-graduate courses. His publications concern a wide variety of subjects, from constitutional law to criminal law.
