Jako van Hees is a leading expert in corporate finance and (international) insolvency law, financing structures and security rights. He has extensive experience in insolvency, financial restructuring, and corporate recovery. He litigates and advises companies, financial institutions, directors, trustees, creditors and shareholders in (cross-border) issues relating to companies in financial difficulties. He has also acted as an expert, mediator, and binding advisor.

Jako has been a lawyer since 1990 and he has mainly worked in the insolvency and restructuring practice, as well as the related litigation practice. Since 2002 Jako has been a professor of Financing, Security, and Insolvency at Radboud University Nijmegen.
