Pieter Fritschy

Pieter Fritschy is a member of the Litigation & Arbitration team. He specialises in international arbitration and in complex court proceedings concerning the enforcement and setting aside of arbitral awards. He is also regularly involved in cassation proceedings before the Dutch Supreme Court.

    • Ukrainian investors in three setting aside proceedings against the Russian Federation in relation to arbitral awards rendered in the aftermath of the Russian Federation's annexation of Crimea
    • Dutch investors in an anti-arbitration suit brought against them by the Republic of Poland in relation to arbitral proceedings based on an intra-EU BIT
    • Moldovan investors in several court proceedings relating to an arbitral award rendered against Kazakhstan
    • Stichting Urgenda in climate litigation against the Dutch State

    Pieter studied at Utrecht University, where he obtained a research master's degree in Philosophy and a master's degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law. Pieter also studied law and philosophy at the universities of Cambridge and Oxford.
