She advises and litigates on a wide range of real estate matters. Kirsy represents her clients in court litigation and arbitration. She has extensive experience in commercial tenancy law and has specialist knowledge of procurement law, with a particular focus on tenders in the defence sector.

Kirsy advises clients from both the private and public sectors, including investment funds, developers, contractors, landlords, and tenants.

Known for her strategic insight and professional expertise, Kirsy combines a results-driven mindset with a personal approach to resolve complex real estate disputes effectively. She is a frequent contributor to leading legal journals on topics written her areas of expertise.

  • Work highlights
    • Advising Neste on all legal aspects of its Renewable Jet Fuel (RJF) and Wastewater Treatment (WWT) projects in Rotterdam.
    • Advising Neste with respect to all legal aspects of the Rotterdam expansion project, including drafting and negotiating contracts to be entered into with construction contractors, discussions with construction contractors and any other legal support requested by Neste.
    • Negotiating lease agreements on behalf of a landlord regarding approximately 4,000 sq. m office space in a landmark office building in Amsterdam.
    • Advising and representing tenants and landlords in disputes concerning end-of-lease inspections, defects, damages, and rent arrears.
    • Advising and representing various clients in the real estate sector in disputes relating to terminated negotiations, interpretation of agreements, and compliance therewith.
    • Advising and representing various clients in disputes between clients, contractors, and other parties involved, particularly in relation to liability, warranties, additional and reduced work, delays, damages, and the right of retention.
    • Representing the winning bidder in the summary proceedings initiated by the reject bidder against the award decision of the ministry of defence for the acquisition of 8 trainer aircrafts and associated services. The project budget of the ministry of defence for the acquisition of eight trainer aircraft and associated services was in the range of EUR 100-250M.
    • Representing the winning bidder in the summary proceedings initiated by the reject bidder against the award decision of the ministry of defence for the acquisition of 4 conventional submarines in the Orca-class. The project budget of the ministry of defence for the acquisition of four conventional submarines was in the range of EUR 4-6 billion.
    • Representing the winning bidder in the summary proceedings initiated by the reject bidder against the award decision of the ministry of defence for the acquisition of 146 trailers and semi-trailers. The project budget of the ministry of defence for the acquisition of the trailers and semi-trailers was in the range of EUR 50-100M.
  • Qualifications

    Kirsy obtained two master's degrees in Dutch law from Maastricht University (2015/2016). In 2021, Kirsy completed the postgraduate course on contracting law at the Grotius Academy (cum laude) and was selected as the 'Upcoming Talent of the Year 2021' in the annual election of Legal Women. Kirsy has been with NautaDutilh since 2023 and was previously a lawyer at an international law firm and a corporate lawyer at a hospitality company. She is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar Association.
