This fund was set up within Nationaal Groenfonds through a EUR 75 million donation by Rabobank. Through the fund, Nationaal Groenfonds provides additional tailor-made financing on favourable terms for sustainable entrepreneurs that are clients of Rabobank. Companies that are frontrunners in making the agricultural and energy sector more sustainable or that have a circular business model can for instance be eligible for financing through Rabo Transitiefonds.
"Financing sustainable projects can be a challenge, as traditional financing does not always fit with green business models," says financial law partner Larissa Silverentand. “Rabo Transitiefonds will make financing more accessible for sustainable entrepreneurs, and it was a pleasure to be able to contribute to its formation."
