Joppe Schoute is a member of the Corporate M&A department at the Amsterdam office. He is specialising in corporate law and advises clients in a variety of transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions (both domestic and cross-border), public offers and joint ventures. He also advises clients in relation to general contractual and commercial issues as well as corporate governance matters.
Before joining the Corporate M&A department Joppe worked in the Capital Markets Group of the Banking & Finance department of NautaDutilh and specialised in Banking and Securities law, with a focus on both debt and equity related transactions. He advised listed companies (and their shareholders) on their ongoing obligations, was active in the legal opinion practice and was involved in updates of debt issuance (EMTN) programmes.
Joppe studied at the University of Amsterdam where he obtained a Master's degree in Private law. Joppe joined NautaDutilh in 2014 and is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar.
