Founders and angel investors, including Ilkka Paananen (CEO, Supercell), Miki Kuusi (CEO, Wolt) and Matt Mullenweg (CEO, Automattic), also joined the round. The investors consist of partners who believe in Nord Security's mission, which allows Nord Security, founded in 2012, to grow even faster and continue to make a profoundly better internet. This investment round makes Nord Security Lithuania’s second tech unicorn.
Nord Security’s mission is to build better internet and bring back trust in digital networks, by providing protection for consumer and enterprise accounts, networks and information against advanced cyber threats. The company's goal is to help consumers and businesses enhance their security and privacy protections with a holistic set of products, such as its mass-market consumer VPN: NordVPN, which allow consumers and businesses to analyse, detect and contain risks at the border of a network before they infiltrate sensitive end-user devices.
''Congrats to everyone involved in this cross-jurisdictional team effort, including the rockstar teams at Nord Security (Aiste Armonaite, Egle Simelioniene, Dina Lurje, Vytautas Sabalys), Cooley LLP (Ben Shribman, Joseph K Claffey) and TGS Baltic (Marius Matonis)'' says Team lead Sybren de Beurs.
The team further consisted of Joppe Schoute, Eline van Marle (Corporate), Koen Biesma, Leanne Meurs (Corporate Notarial) and could not have been done without the invaluable contributions of Daan Hagelstein (Corporate Notarial), Arjan Pors, and Huub Verschoor (Finance).
