NautaDutilh assisted Pratt & Whitney, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, with the acquisition of Aiir Innovations. Headquartered in the Netherlands, Aiir Innovations is a software scale-up specialising in AI-assisted borescope inspections for the (defence) aviation industry. Aiir Innovations technology uses artificial intelligence to analyse borescope images of aircraft engines, enabling inspectors to assess engine condition more quickly and consistently, without the need to dismantle the engine.
The transaction underscores NautaDutilh's growing practice at the intersection of AI, advanced technologies and the defence industry. With increasing regulatory scrutiny around AI applications, especially in security-sensitive sectors, NautaDutilh is well-positioned to help clients move through transactions where innovation, regulation and strategic stakes converge.
