The 2024 edition of the Foreign Direct Investments Regimes Guide by Global Legal Group has been published. The guide provides a comprehensive overview of foreign investment policy, law and scope of application in various jurisdictions.

"The Luxembourg FDI Act entered into force on 1 September 2023 aiming at reconciling the imperative need to maintain Luxembourg’s openness, competitiveness and attractiveness with security and public order" says corporate M&A partner Margaretha Wilkenhuysen. "A mandatory prior notification requirement applies to investments made in Luxembourg entities that carry out critical activities, such as in the field of energy, space, health, biotech and IT (incl. hosting, data, cybersecurity and AI)" adds Competition & Tech partner Vincent Wellens.
