RIGImmune is a biopharmaceutical company developing a new class of immune-modulating therapies for viral diseases and cancer. The acquisition, completed earlier this year, adds RIGImmune’s RIG-101 programme and proprietary NEED™ intranasal delivery platform to Leyden Labs’ growing portfolio of airway-targeted medicines. It complements Leyden Labs’ intranasal antibody programmes and supports its efforts to protect vulnerable patients against the consequences of respiratory viral infections.
The acquisition was announced alongside positive Phase 1 results for RIG-101, an investigational intranasal therapy initially being studied to prevent virus-triggered asthma exacerbations. Leyden Labs reported that RIG-101 was safe and well tolerated in healthy volunteers and patients with asthma, with results supporting advancement into Phase 2 clinical development.
The NautaDutilh team was led by Rebecca Pinto and further consisted of Ruud Smits, Annefleur van Oel, Auke Knigge, Sophie van Lanschot, Elodie Smits, Nico Blom, Ash Beesemer and Riemer Meinderts.
